Additionally, 886 bank branches are currently classified as "temporarily suspended".
The highest number of branches belongs to the state-owned Oschadbank - 1,150. Furthermore, the operations of 625 branches of this bank have been temporarily halted.
The state-owned PrivatBank ranks second with 1,107 branches, while another 68 have been temporarily suspended.
Following them, with a significant gap, are the foreign banking group Raiffeisen Bank (325), the private PUMB (223), and the foreign banking group UkrSibbank (218).
As of January 1, there were 62 banks operating in Ukraine.
However, in December, "Kominvestbank" was declared insolvent. As of January 1 of the previous year, this bank had 39 branches. The NBU currently includes 29 branches of this bank in its statistics.
Moreover, the bank "Alpari" has surrendered its license and had no branches.

In recent years, banks have been reducing the number of their branches. Compared to the peak in 2029, their count has dropped by more than four times.
According to the NBU, Ukrainian banks are reducing branches and ATMs while increasing the number of POS terminals.
