The head of the government suggested that the number of Ukrainians abroad applying for the thousand hryvnias might be "minimal."
"However, we will conduct an audit, and those individuals, as has been the case in previous instances, will have to return the money. Therefore, we recommend not to misuse this opportunity," emphasized Shmyhal.
He reminded that only Ukrainians who are located on the territory of Ukraine can receive the thousand hryvnias from the state.
Initially, citizens confirm their presence in Ukraine declaratively, and this is later verified through registries, geolocation, and other software methods.

Recall that as part of the initiative by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukrainians can receive state assistance amounting to one thousand hryvnias.
Funds can be obtained both through the "Diia" app and via "Ukrposhta." The option to receive money offline has been provided for those who do not have smartphones.
As of 16:00 on December 2, applications have already been submitted by 3 million Ukrainians.
