Overall, in 2024, the highest land prices were recorded in October, averaging 52,418 UAH. Conversely, the lowest prices were noted in February, with an average of 42,804 UAH per hectare.
Where are the lowest land prices
In general, the price of land per hectare in different regions of Ukraine ranges from an average of 31,698 to 93,141 UAH. This means that the price per hectare in the most expensive region is nearly equivalent to three hectares in the cheapest region.
The lowest prices for agricultural land were recorded by analysts in Mykolaiv region, averaging 31,698 UAH/ha. Following that are:
- Dnipropetrovsk – 32,266 UAH;
- Sumy – 34,144 UAH;
- Chernihiv – 34,396 UAH.
Where is land the most expensive
The highest land prices are found in Ivano-Frankivsk region, averaging 93,141 UAH. Additionally, in:
- Lviv – 72,482 UAH;
- Kyiv – 66,845 UAH;
- Poltava regions – 66,792 UAH.
Land sales in Ukraine have decreased significantly
Overall, in December, the volume of agricultural land sales dropped significantly. According to analysts, 13,638 hectares were sold in that month, which is nearly 11,000 hectares less than the previous month.
The lowest sales in 2024 were recorded in December. The highest volume of land sold occurred in October, totaling 25,334 hectares.
At the same time, Ukrainian farmers can receive 2,000 UAH per hectare of land from the government, but only if they operate in areas of military conflict. The government has approved the relevant support procedures for agricultural producers. As Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated, support will also be provided to those farmers working in potential conflict zones.
However, in such cases, they will receive a reduced amount. The aid for these farmers is set at 1,000 UAH per hectare of land.
The Prime Minister explained that the assistance will be provided under a special subsidy mechanism for farmers operating in these frontline regions. The relevant resolution was adopted in mid-August.
"We understand how challenging it is to sow and harvest in these lands and communities. Therefore, we will support our people who work there," – said the head of the government.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, simultaneously, significant growth in land prices is expected in Ukraine. According to forecasts, it is anticipated that in the next few years, land prices will increase by 20%, as stated by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, Vitaliy Koval.
