Moreover, the state institution "Government Contact Center" received 3,801 citizen inquiries throughout 2024.
According to the press service, the majority of citizen inquiries were related to consumer rights protection concerning the purchase of substandard non-food products via online stores and the provision of inadequate housing and communal services.
The agency noted that inquiries from citizens regarding the quality of products and their safety for consumer health raised questions about product information and labeling, shelf life, the use of food additives, the presence of hazardous contaminants in food products, product counterfeiting, and unfair trading practices (including advertising and marketing activities).
It is worth mentioning that, according to the State Consumer Service, the most hazardous products of 2024 were identified as:
- Toys containing toxic substances or small parts that pose a danger to children.
- Electrical and electronic equipment that poses a risk of fire or electric shock.
- Lighting devices that do not meet radiation standards.
As reported by RBK-Ukraine, average prices for housing, water, electricity, gas, and other types of fuel in Ukraine in November 2024 increased by 18.7% compared to November of the previous year. The increase was attributed to rising electricity prices.
