This was reported by Настоящее Время, as conveyed by Ukrinform.

The head of the Ryazan region, Pavel Malkov, announced a fire "at one enterprise" due to the debris from drones, but did not specify which one. According to Malkov, air defense systems shot down two unmanned aerial vehicles over the region.

Preliminary information from Malkov indicates that there were no casualties.

Russian Telegram channels, referencing eyewitnesses, report an attack on the Ryazan Oil Refinery. Specifically, the Baza Telegram channel stated that the fire started in the vicinity of the oil processing plant.

Astra cites local residents, reporting that explosions were heard in Ryazan near the refinery.

Overall, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that supposedly 22 drones were shot down overnight: two unmanned aerial vehicles in the Ryazan region, 16 in the Oryol region, three in Bryansk, and one drone over the annexed Crimea.

The head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, Andriy Kovalенко, confirmed the attack on the Ryazan Oil Refinery in his Telegram channel, stating it is one of the largest in Russia.

“The refinery has a processing capacity of 17.1 million tons of oil per year, making it one of the five largest refineries in the Russian Federation. It produces gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene, fuel oil, and petrochemicals. Aviation fuel plays a particularly crucial role, as it is vital for the frontline aviation of the Russian army and strategic long-range aviation that strikes Ukraine,” Kovalенко wrote.

The Ryazan Oil Refinery was previously attacked twice this year: on the night of January 24 and the night of January 26.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of Wednesday, February 19, drones struck the Syzran Oil Refinery in the Samara region (Russia).
