This is reported by RBK-Ukraine, referencing the Macroeconomic and Monetary Review of the NBU (January 2025). According to Kontrakty.UA, this information has been disclosed.

The report indicates that salaries continue to rise at a rapid pace due to a labor shortage. According to the State Statistics Service, in the third quarter of 2024, nominal salaries increased by 22.3% year-on-year, while real salaries rose by 14.2% year-on-year (as calculated by the NBU based on State Statistics data).

According to NBU estimates, real salaries in most sectors of economic activity (with the exception of education and arts) are higher than in the third quarter of 2021 (prior to the full-scale invasion).

In the absence of official data from the State Statistics Service, the NBU assessed incomes based on indicators such as the average pension, average salary for pension calculations from the Pension Fund of Ukraine, total unified social contribution (USC), USC in the private sector, and personal income tax (PIT).

According to indirect indicators, salary growth continued in the fourth quarter of 2024, the NBU reported.

Salaries in Ukraine

It is worth noting that the average salary of employees in Ukraine increased by 22.2% to 20,592 hryvnias from January to September 2024. The highest salary is in the "Information and Telecommunications" sector, where it rose by 37.7% to 50,752 hryvnias.

It should be highlighted that inflation in Ukraine has significantly accelerated, exceeding 10%. This leads to a slowdown in the growth of real incomes for Ukrainians. Specifically, real incomes of pensioners have effectively stopped growing in 2024.
