The Speaker noted that the Ukrainian government will begin work on an expert group to sign a rare earth agreement with the United States starting Monday, February 24. He emphasized that Ukraine is eager to collaborate with its partners regarding the country’s natural resources, but seeks specific security guarantees in return.

The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada also stated that his country aims to engage in constructive discussions and aspires to hold a summit with the United States as soon as possible.

At the same time, Stefanchuk reminded that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky proposed to the United States to jointly develop Ukrainian resources as part of his "victory plan" back in September of last year.

It is worth noting that according to Bloomberg, representatives from Ukraine and the United States are hoping to resolve disagreements regarding the strategic minerals agreement during negotiations this week. Zelensky and Trump may sign it in person.
