The main reasons for this increase are the stabilization of domestic demand and the beginning of export recovery.
Ukrainian sugar producers are gradually returning to external markets, with Turkey and African countries remaining the primary destinations.
"Expectations were that the situation would be worse for producers without exports to Europe. However, the current export scheme through third countries is yielding results. Ukraine is slowly exporting sugar to foreign markets, which helps maintain its position," analysts note.
From 2025, a partial opening of the European market for Ukrainian sugar is planned, which could significantly affect price dynamics towards an increase.
Experts predict that significant price increases for products may occur in the second half of the season.
Additionally, the situation in the global sugar market could also impact prices in Ukraine.
"Brazil is facing certain issues, which may lead to a reduction in sugar production volumes. As a result, there could be an increase in sugar prices on the global market in the second half of the season," analysts clarified.
In turn, Ukrainian producers may take advantage of this situation to expand their presence in the international market and enhance competitiveness.
