Ukrainian food producers have increased prices by 20% over the past year. Discover which products have seen the highest price hikes.

Wholesale prices for industrial products in December 2024 have increased by 27.6% compared to December of the previous year. Within Ukraine, prices rose by 28.9%, while prices outside of Ukraine saw a rise of 15.9%.

According to the statistical office, prices in the production of food products, beverages, and tobacco products have increased by 21.0%, specifically within Ukraine - by 18.6%, and outside Ukraine - by 32.0%.

The highest price increases were observed in the production of dairy products - up by 24.0%, including within Ukraine - up by 23.1%, and in the production of meat - up by 17.6%, particularly within Ukraine - up by 18.3%.

In the production of bread, bakery, and flour products, prices have risen by 13.1%, specifically within Ukraine - by 13.3%.

Beverage producers have increased prices by 5.9%, including within Ukraine - by 5.7%.

Prices for sugar producers have decreased by 1.5% over the year, although they have increased by 0.1% within Ukraine.

Wholesale prices from producers are reflected in retail prices with a delay of several months.

Food Prices

According to the State Statistics, the annual inflation in Ukraine in December 2024 was 12.0%, with food products and non-alcoholic beverages increasing in price by 14.1% over the year.

According to the UN, global food prices fell in December 2024 by 6.7% compared to December 2023.
