This is reported by RBK-Ukraine referencing Financial Times. According to Kontrakty.UA, at least seven American tankers that were previously set to head to Africa, Asia, and Colombia have altered their routes and are now heading towards European ports.
Market analyst for LNG at ICIS, Alex Froley, emphasized that some ships have "made quite a few sharp turns" in their direction.
"It's unusual to see so many course changes and such obvious turns," he explained.
Gas prices in the European market have risen, allowing traders to gain additional profits and encouraging supplies to Europe.
At the same time, it is worth noting that Russia halted the flow of gas through Ukraine at the beginning of the month. This occurred after Kiev stopped the transit of Russian gas to the EU and Moldova.
These actions have led Europe to actively seek new sources of energy resource supplies.
