As of January 1, 2025, pensions exceeding 10,000 hryvnias were received by 1,261,712 Ukrainians. This constitutes 12.2% of the total number of pensioners (10,343,630 individuals). Reports TSN. This information was provided by Kontrakty.UA.
Data from the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) confirms this.
According to PFU, more than half of Ukrainians receive pensions of up to 5,000 hryvnias.
The distribution of pension amounts is as follows:
- up to 3000 hryvnias – 25.9%, 2,684,075 individuals, average pension – 2,759.86 hryvnias,
- from 3001 to 4000 hryvnias – 17.9%, 1,817,897 individuals, average pension – 3,544.23 hryvnias,
- from 4001 to 5000 hryvnias – 18.8%, 1,943,939 individuals, average pension – 4,414.06 hryvnias,
- from 5001 to 10000 hryvnias – 25.5%, 2,636,007 individuals, average pension – 6,844.95 hryvnias,
- over 10000 hryvnias – 12.2%, 1,261,712 individuals, average pension – 15,379.97 hryvnias.
It is noted that the average pension amount as of January 1, 2025, was 5,789.05 hryvnias. The average pension has increased by 403.8 hryvnias or 7.5% since the beginning of the year.
The number of pensioners decreased by 172,907 individuals over the year, totaling 10,343,630.
Recall that in Ukraine in 2025, the largest special pensions will be limited. This new regulation will affect more than 17,000 pensioners. It will be in effect during the state of martial law in 2025.
