This is reported by RBK-Ukraine referencing Russian media. The information comes from Kontrakty.UA.
Following the imposed sanctions, nine countries have stopped servicing "Gazprombank" cards. Specifically, the following countries have ceased cooperation:
- Hungary,
- Vietnam,
- Germany,
- Kazakhstan,
- Qatar,
- Turkey,
- UAE,
- Thailand.
Additionally, it has become known that "Gazprombank" cards are also non-functional in China. Currently, it is not possible to withdraw cash from ICBC ATMs there.
It is noteworthy that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, countries like Hungary and China were considered friendly towards Russia.
Recall that on Thursday, November 21, the USA expanded the sanctions list against the Russian Federation. This time, "Gazprombank," "BKS Bank," "Centrocredit," and about 40 other institutions were included.
In particular, the head of the National Bank of Ukraine, Andriy Pyshnyy stated that the US sanctions package against Moscow has cut off the occupiers' access to global finances.
Meanwhile, Hungary described the US sanctions against "Gazprombank" as an "attack on sovereignty."
