Overtime work in Ukraine: what are the pay rates and employer responsibilities?

Work of Ukrainians who work overtime is compensated at double the hourly rate. This obligation of the employer is regulated by Article 106 of the Labor Code. Reports TSN. This information is provided by Kontrakty.UA.

This was explained by specialists from the Southeast Interregional Department of the State Labor Service.

In Ukraine, the hourly wage system for overtime work stipulates that overtime hours are paid at double the rate.

The piecework payment system also provides for increased compensation for work performed after the regular working day. In this case, the additional payment is calculated at 100% of the employee's tariff rate for all overtime hours worked.

It is noted that the hours worked in excess are not compensated by providing days off.

Experts also emphasized the importance of preventing mobbing and discrimination against people with disabilities, ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men in labor relations, and the need for psychosocial support in the workplace.

Moreover, in 2025, Ukraine's minimum wage and subsistence minimum will remain unchanged.
