Details have emerged regarding participation in the "National Cashback" program. Specifically, the agreement for opening a cashback card at "PrivatBank" requires the client's consent to disclose banking secrets for all their accounts – both existing and those opened in the future. Reports TSN. This was reported by Kontrakty.UA.
Co-founder of "Monobank," Oleg Gorokhovsky, stated this information.
"If you opened a 'National Cashback' card at Privat, it would be wise to understand what you agreed to," he wrote, including a screenshot of the contract text.
Gorokhovsky also claimed that "other banks do not do this," and there is still time to rectify the situation. He added that as of December 3, over 1 million Ukrainians had already applied for the state payout of 1000 hryvnias through "Monobank."
However, an hour after Gorokhovsky's publication, Yaroslav Zheleznyak, a people's deputy from the "Holos" faction, provided an important clarification regarding the disclosure of banking secrets for participants in the "National Cashback" program.
"Regarding the transfer of banking secrets for those who decided to trust the state and subscribe to this populism 'Nat. Cashback.' This is part of the requirements for all banks established in the Procedure approved by the Cabinet. If you take the money – then you agreed to share the information. And I have warned you about this several times already," he wrote.
As a reminder, as of December 3, Ukrainians have submitted over four million applications for the "Winter eSupport" program through "Diia." There is a demand for this type of assistance in the country.
