Частичное открытие воздушного пространства: что говорят в правительстве о аэропорте "Борисполь".

The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development commented on the possibility of resuming operations at the International Airport "Boryspil". TSN reports. This information is reported by Kontrakty.UA.

Recently, there have been increasing statements regarding this possibility in the event of a cessation of hostilities. Some airlines even announced their readiness to resume flights to "Boryspil" within a month, as soon as the security situation permits.

According to Serhiy Derkach, Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine, Ukraine's territory and airspace above it are currently classified as conflict zones with a high degree of risk to civil aviation security due to real threats to its operations.

"The use of airspace within Ukraine's territory is prohibited for all aircraft except for state aircraft of Ukraine, unless a corresponding permit is granted by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," Serhiy Derkach stated in response to a request from TSN.ua.

Regarding the resumption of operations at Ukrainian airports and the International Airport "Boryspil", the official noted the following:

"After implementing measures that ensure an acceptable level of safety for civil aviation flights during martial law and in special periods, the possibility of partially opening Ukraine's airspace will be considered, which in turn will allow the operational activities of Ukrainian airports to resume," stated Serhiy Derkach, Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine, to TSN.ua.

It is worth noting that earlier, the management of the international Airport "Boryspil" held negotiations in Budapest with representatives of the European low-cost airline Wizz Air about the prompt launch of air transportation following the opening of the airspace.
