Since the beginning of 2025, oil prices in Ukraine have been rising rapidly. Currently, the cost of sunflower oil in Ukrainian stores ranges from 60 UAH for 850 ml to 1 liter. According to TSN, this information is reported by Kontrakty.UA.
Analysts are citing statistics from the "Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business" (UCAB) regarding this trend.
Due to the increasing cost of seeds and global demand, prices for oil in Ukraine range from 57.50 UAH to 80.50 UAH.
In just the last winter month, oil prices have set a record for the fastest increase in recent years, experts say.
"This is due to the rising cost of seeds, which constitute a significant portion of the production cost, as well as the increase in global demand and fluctuations in oil prices," experts explain.
At the same time, bread prices remain stable, but the rising costs of raw materials and energy carriers are putting pressure on potential future price increases, the report states.
It is worth noting that experts predict a further rise in vegetable prices, as greenhouse farming in Ukraine is unable to fully meet consumer demand.
