Zelensky has signed a law listing terrorist organizations.

This is reported by the parliament's website. It is indicated that in order to ensure the national security of Ukraine and to prevent, detect, and stop terrorist activities, a list of terrorist organizations (groups) will be formed and maintained.

The law establishes the obligations of the Security Service of Ukraine to create and manage this list.

The list will include terrorist organizations (groups) that carry out terrorist activities within Ukraine and/or beyond its borders and pose a threat to the national security of Ukraine, regardless of whether they have legal entity status, or are registered by authorized bodies of Ukraine or foreign states.

At the same time, mechanisms for including organizations (groups) in the list are established, along with regulations governing the grounds for inclusion and exclusion from this list.

Inclusion/exclusion of an organization (group) in/from the list is carried out by the Anti-Terrorism Center of the Security Service of Ukraine within 3 or 15 working days based on a conclusion from the Anti-Terrorism Center, agreed upon with the relevant state authorities and intelligence agencies of Ukraine.

It is stipulated that registered political parties in Ukraine, in accordance with the legislation, will not be included in the list.

The list of organizations will be formed publicly. The relevant information will be published on the official website of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Unified State Web Portal of Open Data.

It is expected that the approval of the law will ensure the creation of an effective algorithm for forming a public list of terrorist organizations (groups), which will enhance Ukraine's institutional capabilities in combating terrorist activities.

Recall that in 2021, the Cabinet of Ministers approved changes to the legislation on the recognition of terrorist organizations.
