The Security Service of Ukraine has formally charged the Russian singer Yaroslav Dronov, known by the stage name "Shaman," in absentia.
He is accused of promoting the war against Ukraine and supporting the actions of the Russian leadership.
Dronov is among those who openly glorify the occupiers and advocate for the Russian regime. Specifically, in 2022, he recorded a video address in which he heroized the Russian military and justified the aggression against Ukraine that has been ongoing since 2014. In 2023, he visited the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region, where he held a concert in support of the Kremlin.
A linguistic examination confirmed the singer's involvement in information-subversive activities. He is charged under Part 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for denying occupation, justifying Russian aggression, and glorifying the Russian military.
The investigation is being conducted under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General. Efforts to hold Dronov accountable are ongoing.
Previously, we reported that Russian special services
were preparing a terrorist attack in a capital hypermarket of a French chain, but this plan failed.
Let us remind you that in Odessa,
the perpetrator of the terrorist attack against the military prosecutor was detained. This refers to the explosion of a car on February 20.
