Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky responded to media reports regarding the approval from partners for Ukraine to carry out long-range strikes on Russia using ATACMS and Storm Shadow missiles.
He noted that strikes are delivered not with words.
This was stated by Volodymyr Zelensky in an evening video address on November 17.
"The plan to strengthen Ukraine is a victory plan that I presented to our partners. One of the main points is long-range capabilities for our army. Today, many in the media are discussing that we have received permission for corresponding actions. But strikes are delivered not with words. Such matters are not announced. The missiles will speak for themselves. They will, for sure," said the head of state.
He did not provide any further details.
Earlier, The New York Times reported, citing unnamed American officials, that U.S. President Joe Biden had authorized Ukraine to strike Russia with long-range American ATACMS missiles. According to NYT, this decision was influenced by the entry of North Korean troops into the fighting in the Kursk region.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin stated that strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Russian territory using long-range Western weapons would be considered direct involvement of Western countries in the war.
Previously, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin expressed the idea of potentially limiting the export of uranium, titanium, and nickel in response to Western sanctions.
We also reported that Russia might intensify hybrid attacks on NATO countries in response to the permission granted by the U.S. and Europe to strike its territory with long-range weapons.
