The Verkhovna Rada has adopted a law regarding the peculiarities of regulating entrepreneurial activities during the transitional period, which recognizes the Commercial Code as having lost its validity.
This was
reported by Yaroslav Zheleznyak, a member of the parliamentary faction "Golos".
According to the deputy, bill No. 6013 concerning the regulation of entrepreneurial activities of certain types of legal entities and their associations during the transitional period received support from 248 votes of the elected representatives.
As noted in the explanatory note to the draft law, the changes it proposes aim to enhance corporate governance in legal entities based on state and communal property, increase the investment attractiveness of the country, implement effective mechanisms for controlling the use of state and communal property, and eliminate contradictions between the Civil Code of Ukraine and special legislation acts.
In particular, it is proposed to repeal the Commercial Code of Ukraine, the provisions of which predominantly lack regulatory effect, are declarative in nature, and contradict other normative legal acts and general principles of civil legislation.
