The President of Ukraine has imposed sanctions on Georgian authorities.

This concerns, in particular, the head of the government Ivanishvili and 19 other Georgian officials.

“These sanctions target that part of the current Georgian government which is surrendering Georgia to Putin,” – emphasized the head of our state in a relevant message on Telegram.

Let us remind you that earlier President Zelensky instructed to prepare sanctions in response to the actions of the current authorities in Georgia. “It is simply disgraceful what they [the Georgian government] are currently doing against their own people. And when Moscow praises this government in Georgia, it clearly indicates who they are working for in Tbilisi and for whom they are suppressing protests,” – commented Zelensky.

It is also worth noting that large-scale protests against the falsification of parliamentary election results continue in Georgia. The authorities are attempting to suppress these protests, conducting searches and detaining leaders of the Georgian opposition.
