Law enforcement prevented the assassination of the First Deputy Minister of Health.

This information is reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office on its website.

“During the investigation, law enforcement officials discovered that two residents of the Kyiv region, a 36-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, were planning the murder of the First Deputy Minister of Health. Over several months, they monitored the daily routine and movements of the potential victim, rented an apartment in the same residential complex, and to avoid detection, frequently changed their vehicles,” the agency stated.

This couple regularly visited a shooting range to practice their shooting skills. However, the gradual execution of this detailed plan was under the supervision of law enforcement.

Both suspects were apprehended while attempting to purchase a pistol intended for killing the official. As noted by the SBU press service, the offenders had begun searching for a seller of firearms on the black market, but were arrested at the moment of handing over the money for the pistol.
