Ukraine has received $1.1 billion from the International Monetary Fund.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this
on Telegram.
“This is the sixth tranche under the overall program within the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) mechanism. The funds have already been credited to Ukrainian accounts. We will allocate them for financing critical budget expenditures. In total, under this program, Ukraine has received 9.8 billion dollars from the IMF. We are grateful to the International Monetary Fund for their unwavering support of our country during the full-scale war,” Shmyhal noted.
It’s worth recalling that on December 20, the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) completed the sixth review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program for Ukraine. This will enable the country to receive another tranche of approximately 1.1 billion US dollars.
