A former deputy minister of social policy is under suspicion for illegal purchases totaling 24 million hryvnias.

According to the investigation, he unjustifiably made purchases amounting to 24 million hryvnias.

According to the investigation, from February to May 2022, during the implementation of the project "Modernization of Social Support Systems for the Population of Ukraine," the suspect committed professional negligence. The official signed an additional agreement to the main contract, which unjustifiably expanded the number of contract items and increased the amount of computer equipment purchases that are not utilized by the Ministry's employees.
The purchases were carried out without conducting a technical and economic justification for equipping united territorial communities with computer equipment and without coordination with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
As a result, the Ministry suffered damages totaling 24 million hryvnias.
Currently, the issue of selecting a preventive measure for the suspect is being resolved.
Earlier, law enforcement exposed a scheme involving several individuals in the embezzlement of 90 million hryvnias from depositors of the "Land Capital" bank. Among them is the owner of the financial institution.
A Member of the Ukrainian Parliament has been notified of suspicion in organizing illegal border crossing. In the near future, the court will choose a preventive measure for the politician - the prosecution requests detention.
