The National Agency for the Search and Management of Assets (ARMA) has identified assets exceeding ₴3 billion belonging to individuals involved in a criminal case concerning the embezzlement of budget funds during construction work.
This was reported by the
press service of the Agency.
As a result of the investigation, ARMA has identified assets and funds totaling over 3 billion UAH, including:
- monetary funds in bank accounts in various currencies amounting to over 2.8 billion UAH
- securities valued at over 50 million UAH
- contributions to the authorized capital of companies totaling around 5 million UAH
- more than 100 units of motor vehicles
- over 280 units of construction and special equipment
- several residential and commercial real estate properties.
Additionally, more than 100 units of motor vehicles, over 280 units of construction and special equipment, and several residential and commercial properties were found.
According to the Deputy Head of the National Agency, Pavlo Velykorechanyn, the volume of identified assets indicates the scale of the criminal scheme.
“The volume of identified assets reflects the scale of the criminal scheme for the embezzlement of budget funds. Anyone who has unlawfully enriched themselves at the expense of the state must bear economic responsibility. The transfer of these assets to ARMA's management will guarantee that they will work for the benefit of the state, its economy, and defense capability,” emphasized ARMA Deputy Chairman Pavlo Velykorechanyn.
