Yastremska fell just short of reaching the semifinals at the WTA tournament in Hobart.

The third-ranked player in Ukraine, Dayana Yastremska, has prematurely ended her participation in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) tournament in Hobart, Australia, which has a prize pool of $275,094.

In the quarterfinals, the top-seeded Yastremska lost to American McCartney Kessler in one and a half hours with a score of 5:7, 4:6, as reported by Ukrinform.

For her performance in Hobart, the Ukrainian earned $6,815 in prize money and 54 ranking points.

Next week, Yastremska will compete in the Australian Open.
