The enemy is focusing its main efforts on the Pokrovsk direction, according to military reports.
This was reported during a television broadcast by the spokesperson for the operational-strategic group of troops "Khortytsia," Viktor Trehubov.
"Yesterday, our defenders halted 38 enemy attacks in the Pokrovsk direction. Pokrovsk direction remains one of the most intense fronts in recent weeks. It serves as the focal point of the enemy's main efforts and a key line of defense for Ukrainian forces. However, the enemy has not advanced directly into the city; instead, they are attempting to encircle this area from the flanks," said Trehubov.
He noted that the primary attacks were recorded in nearby settlements.
According to the spokesperson, the enemy is trying to disrupt the communications of Ukrainian forces without engaging in battles within the city, aiming to sever connections and gain tactical advantage. "Currently, they are unsuccessful in this endeavor, as the city is defended by skilled and experienced Ukrainian units," Trehubov remarked.
He informed that there is no advancement of Russian troops in the Chasiv Yar area at the moment, although the situation remains intense.
Furthermore, he stated that the situation in Kurakhove is complicated, as it is one of the most challenging directions where intense urban combat is ongoing.
