"Today, on February 25 in the morning, the enemy attacked the regional center with 'Shaheds.' As a result of the fall of one of the Russian drones followed by detonation, two people were injured," the report states.
Additionally, it is noted that window glazing in two apartment buildings was also damaged.
Moreover, today the enemy carried out an airstrike using 'Shahed' type drones on the Khotyn community.
Video: State Emergency Service of Ukraine (added at 09:00)Later, the regional prosecutor's office clarified that, according to the investigation, on February 25, 2025, at around 04:05, two enemy drones attacked a recreation area near a local lake in the city of Sumy. As a result, two brothers who were guarding the area were injured and hospitalized.
Under the procedural guidance of the Sumy City District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted regarding the commission of war crimes (part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, are documenting the consequences of the shelling.
The Sumy City Council reported that the site of the second impact was identified. Both occurred in the area of Lake Chekha.
As of 08:44, damage was recorded in three houses on Ivan Sirko Street and one on Zamostyansky Street.
Additionally, the city council stated that a headquarters for eliminating the consequences of the emergency situation has started operating at school No. 17. A mobile headquarters is also working at the site of the impact.
Emergency and other urgent works are being carried out by employees of KP "Misksvitlo," KP "Zelenbud," KP "Spetskombinat," the Sumy branch of "Gazmrezh," as well as volunteers from the public organizations "Proliska," "Dobrobat," and the charity foundation "NOVA UKRAINE," the city council added.
It is worth noting that due to the attack of Russian 'Shaheds,' air alert was declared in several regions of Ukraine on the night of February 25.
