During the night and morning, Russian forces launched 18 strikes on the Sumy border region.

During the night and early morning on Friday, January, Russian troops shelled border territories and populated areas of the Sumy region 18 times, with 23 explosions recorded.

As reported by Ukrinform, this information was shared by the Sumy Regional Military Administration in a Telegram post.

The communities affected by the shelling include Sumy, Khotyn, Myropil, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velykopysarivka, and Seredyno-Buda.

The enemy struck the Velykopysarivka, Myropil, and Krasnopillia communities with KABs.

In the Khotyn community, the Russians dropped four mines.

The Seredyno-Buda community was attacked by FPV drones.

In the Bilopillia community, the Russian army fired mortars.

The Sumy community was targeted by drones of the Shahed and "Herbera" types.

As a result of the drone debris falling, a private house was damaged. Emergency rescue operations are underway. All necessary assistance, including medical aid, is being provided to those affected. The consequences of the attack are being clarified, as emphasized by the regional administration.
