The first match of the semi-finals of the world championship features the teams of Croatia and France, as reported by Ukrinform.
In the quarter-finals, the Croatians snatched victory from Hungary at the last seconds with a score of 31:30 (16:16), while the French narrowly defeated Egypt 34:33 (18:14).
The vacant spots for the semi-finals will be contested on January 29 by Denmark against Brazil, and Portugal against Germany.
The semi-finals will take place on January 30 and 31, with the final scheduled for February 2 at the 15,000-capacity Unity Arena in Bærum, Norway.
The defending champions are the Danish handball players.
As previously reported, the Ukrainian national team did not qualify for the 2025 World Championship, having lost in the final qualifying playoff stage.
