The document signed by Zelensky is titled "Draft Law on Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding the Improvement of the Procedure for Wholesale and Retail Trade in Vehicles by Economic Entities Registered with the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs."
Main Changes in the Rules for Selling Used Cars
Previously, companies engaged in car sales were required to register used vehicles in their name before further selling them. The new law allows businesses that trade in vehicles to buy and sell cars as goods without the mandatory registration at the Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Now, to complete a transaction, it is sufficient to enter into two sales contracts: one with the previous owner of the vehicle and another with the future buyer. The vehicle owner will independently deregister it before transferring it to the business for resale.
Additionally, experts have previously identified brands of used cars that should be avoided to prevent financial issues.
