This was reported by the Ministry of Education and Science, as conveyed by Ukrinform.
"The workload for educators will be optimized, which will allow for increased salaries and improved working conditions. Parents will benefit from greater flexibility due to enhanced territorial accessibility of kindergartens and the option to choose forms of education. New types of educational activity organization will be introduced into the education system, such as mobile, family, and mini-kindergartens, enabling a larger number of children to be included. Additionally, there will be a variety of groups in kindergartens — age-specific, mixed-age, inclusive, and special groups, each with different educational programs. For authorities, the law establishes obligations to provide resources and fair remuneration for educators, creating conditions for effective work in the field of preschool education,” the message states.
It is noted that, as before, preschool education institutions will be able to receive funds from state and local budgets, payments from founders, fees for educational and additional services, rental income, grants, charitable assistance, and other legal sources.
As added by the Ministry of Education and Science, the development of regulatory acts aimed at implementing the new provisions of the law "On Preschool Education" is currently underway.
A total of 28 new regulatory acts are planned to be adopted, covering various aspects of preschool education functioning. This will create a clear regulatory framework that will facilitate the effective implementation of changes.
As reported, the law "On Preschool Education" was adopted in June 2024. It was signed by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, on July 5.
According to a recent survey, amidst the war in Ukraine, the overwhelming majority of children are either studying in schools or attending preschool institutions, with only 8% not participating.
