In a comment to the YouTube channel RBC-Ukraine, Deputy Minister of Social Policy Daria Marchak stated this. This was reported by Kontrakty.UA.
Marchak mentioned that the draft law on the accumulative pension system has already been submitted for government review, and once approved, it will be forwarded to the Verkhovna Rada.
"We cannot guarantee the timeline for this draft law's passage in parliament, but we are confident that it should receive support," Marchak stated.
According to her, during the preparation of the draft law, the Ministry of Social Policy thoroughly analyzed previous initiatives and their shortcomings.
Additionally, the ministry held consultations with trade unions, employers, and international experts.
"We have taken into account, I believe, absolutely all significant remarks that previously hindered legislative initiatives," she emphasized.
She noted that the Ministry of Social Policy hopes that members of parliament will support the draft law in two readings this year, and it will come into effect in 2026.
Accumulation Pension System
Recall that earlier the government explained what the introduction of a cumulative pension will mean.
At the same time, Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovich previously stated that a decision on pension reform and the introduction of a cumulative pension may be made in 2025. According to her, the plan is for the system to be operational starting in 2026.
Moreover, recently RBC-Ukraine wrote about what will determine the size of pensions after the reform.
