As reported by Ukrinform, this was announced on Facebook by the Embassy of Ukraine in Greece.
The event was organized by the Ukrainian Saturday School Association in collaboration with the "Ukrainian-Greek Thought" association, the Ukrainian Saturday School at the "Berehynia" Cultural and Educational Center, and the Ukrainian Church Community of Saint Nicholas UGCC in Greece.
Ukrainian carols were performed on the festival stage by both children and adults. Among the participants were the Folk Vocal and Choreographic Ensemble "Vikrutasyky" (branch in Athens), the choir of the Ukrainian Association in Greece "Ukrainian Crane Land," the church choir of the Saint Nicholas UGCC community in Athens, children from the Catechetical School, and many others.
The embassy noted that a special moment was the performance of a joint carol, "which united all present in a single Christmas melody."
"The atmosphere of unity, support, and joy filled the hall, and loud applause accompanied each performance. The light of the Christmas carol that shone this evening reminded everyone that together we are stronger, and Christmas is a time of hope and goodness," shared the diplomatic mission.
The embassy added that such events are extremely important, especially in the current challenging times when Ukraine is facing the trials of war. They not only support Ukrainian traditions and strengthen ties with the homeland but also help tell the world about Ukraine.
It is worth noting that the Ukrainian choir "Kalyna" performed carols at the consulate in the Greek city of Thessaloniki.
