Unite for Ukrainian Victory!” by the World Congress of Ukrainians (WCU), more than 450 events – rallies, flash mobs, lectures, and exhibitions – have been registered on the online event map in commemoration of the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion.
Canada
On Parliament Hill in Ottawa, over 1,000 people gathered to mark three years of Ukraine's heroic resistance against Russia's full-scale invasion.
Among the participants were Speaker of the House of Commons Greg Fergus, Canadian political leaders, MP Eric Duncan, Senator Rebecca Patterson, ambassadors, representatives of the Ottawa city government, Colonel Jason Heaney, and members of the Ukrainian community from the Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Ottawa branch.
In Toronto, over 15,000 people came together at Nathan Phillips Square to send a powerful message of unity, resilience, and unwavering support for Ukraine.
Czech Republic
A rally in support of Ukraine took place in Prague on Sunday, with around 40,000 participants, including Czech President Petr Pavel, advisor and Ukraine's Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights and Rehabilitation Daria Gerasimchuk, and children returned from Russian deportation.
Within the framework of the information campaign “Stolen Voices” and the initiative of the President of Ukraine Bring Kids Back UA, Daria Gerasimchuk called for maximum efforts to ensure that every child abducted by Russia returns home as quickly as possible.
After the rally, Ukrainians and Czechs marched to the Taras Shevchenko monument in Prague.
Turkey
On February 23, a rally was held in the Ukrainian Park in Ankara to commemorate the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Diplomats, representatives of the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar communities, friends and partners of Ukraine from Turkey and other countries gathered to demonstrate unity and honor the memory of fallen defenders of Ukraine.
Participants honored the memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine and victims of Russian aggression with a moment of silence.
On the same day in Istanbul's Taksim Square, a rally was held in support of Ukraine, after which the Ukrainian flag was ceremoniously unfurled as a symbol of unity and resilience of the Ukrainian people.
Family members of the missing, prisoners of war, and unlawfully convicted members of the 115th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, representatives of the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar communities, the Office of the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights, the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Chechen Republic Ichkeria, Ukrainian diplomats, and friends of Ukraine from Turkey and other countries participated in the event.
France
A large rally in support of Ukrainian resistance took place in central Paris on Sunday.
The participants called for ensuring a just and lasting peace for Ukraine and Europe and preventing a recurrence of Russian aggression.
Montenegro
The Ukrainian community in the city of Herceg Novi joined the global action of support for Ukraine on the occasion of the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion.
Italy
In Milan, at Castello Square, thousands gathered on the eve of the anniversary of the large-scale invasion by Russia on February 23 to support Ukraine and counter Russian propaganda. This was reported to Ukrinform by one of the participants, Iryna Malovitsa.
The rally included a march through key locations in Milan. Many Italians and foreigners joined the Ukrainian community.
Participants demanded accountability for Russia's crimes and the provision of robust and concrete guarantees to Ukraine to prevent the occupier from returning with new military aggression, as well as urged the EU to be an active part of peace negotiations with a strong and clear position.
Argentina
In the center of Buenos Aires, at Plaza General San Martin, an event for a just peace in Ukraine took place on the eve of the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion.
The event, organized by the Ukrainian Central Representation in the Argentine Republic, included representatives of the Ukrainian community, as well as Lithuanian, Polish, Latvian, and other friendly national communities, staff from the embassies of Ukraine and the Republic of Poland in Argentina, clergy, and numerous friends of Ukraine.
At the beginning of the event, a moment of silence was observed in memory of all those who perished as a result of the Russian war against Ukraine, and the anthems of the Argentine Republic and Ukraine were played.
During the event, there were numerous condemnations of the Russian aggressor and calls for the swift establishment of a lasting and just peace.
Portugal
A memorial event for 11 years of war and the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine was held in the Portuguese city of Braga, attended by representatives of the Ukrainian consulate in Porto, the city council, Portuguese citizens, the local Ukrainian community, and local media.
The event was organized by the Portuguese-Ukrainian Social Cultural Center: Ukraine - Portugal - Europe, initiated by its head Abraão Veloso.
Those present honored the memory of the Heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine with a moment of silence. At the end of the event, everyone had the opportunity to leave their wishes for peace, support, and hope for the future in the Ukrainian-Portuguese book.
Lithuania
On February 23, a joint ecumenical prayer for a just peace and the victory of Ukraine was held at the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity in Vilnius.
Believers, along with representatives of the clergy in Lithuania, prayed to the Lord for the protection of the Ukrainian people, strength for its defenders, and a bright future for Ukraine.
Spain
Madrid massively joined the global action Stand With Ukraine and Unite for Ukrainian Victory on the eve of the third anniversary of the full-scale war initiated by Russia.
The event was attended by a large Ukrainian community, Spaniards, diplomats, and representatives of the Spanish authorities.
Estonia
The Congress of Ukrainians in Estonia organized a Stand With Ukraine march “Let’s Unite for the Victory of Ukraine” in Tallinn on February 22 to commemorate the event. A video can be viewed at this link.
Also on Saturday, a rally was held in Freedom Square in the Estonian capital Tallinn to mark the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Ukrainians who attended the rally expressed hope for Ukraine's victory in the war. Many of them are volunteers collecting donations to support the Ukrainian military. At the same time, they emphasized the importance of achieving a just peace.
Lebanon
A memorial event dedicated to the third anniversary of the start of the war waged by the Russian Federation against Ukraine was held at the Embassy of Ukraine in Beirut on February 22. The event brought together members of Ukrainian public organizations, friends of Ukraine, and all who share the pain of the Ukrainian people and support the fight for freedom, as well as Lebanese journalists.
Those present honored with a moment of silence all who gave their lives for Ukraine's independence and watched the documentary film “Operation Kursk.” Young representatives of the scouting organization “Plast” performed a patriotic song.
Australia
In the Australian capital Canberra, an event was held near the Russian embassy on February 22 to mark the third anniversary of the large-scale war.
Brazil
The Ukrainian community held a demonstration at Praça da Ucrânia in the Brazilian city of Curitiba, protesting against Russian aggression.
Taiwan
An action called Stands With Ukraine was organized in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan.
Luxembourg
A demonstration titled “Justice for Ukraine = Peace for Europe” was held in Luxembourg, dedicated to the third year of Ukrainian resistance to Russian aggression.
