It is noted that out of this total, there were 911 new cars (+3%) and 265 used ones (-34%). Consequently, vehicles of Chinese origin accounted for 16% of the September market for new passenger cars.
In the segment of used cars that were registered for the first time in Ukraine, the share of vehicles from China was 1.6%. The vast majority of passenger cars from the PRC were electric vehicles – 81%.
The most popular models of new passenger cars from China were:
- Zeekr 001 - 109 units;
- Volkswagen ID.4 - 103 units;
- Honda M-NV - 102 units;
- BYD Song Plus - 102 units;
- Nissan Ariya - 74 units.
The most popular models of used cars from China were:
- Zeekr 001 - 40 units;
- Volkswagen ID.4 - 26 units;
- Honda M-NV - 24 units;
- Chery EQ1 - 22 units;
- BYD Song Plus - 16 units.
Overall, in September, the Ukrainian vehicle fleet was replenished with 5.7 thousand new passenger cars. Leading sales in the previous month in the Ukrainian market for new cars continued to be the Renault Duster crossover. The second most popular was the Toyota RAV-4 crossover, and the third place went to the Mazda CX-5. Also in the top five were the Toyota Hilux pickup and the Skoda Karoq crossover.
