The Ukrainian community in Canada has expressed its support for President Zelensky.

As reported by a correspondent from Ukrinform, this statement was made by the President of the Congress of Ukrainians in Canada, Oleksandra Hychiy.

“The disgraceful attack by Donald Trump and J.D. Vance on President Zelensky has become one of the most outrageous actions ever taken by the U.S. administration. To criticize the leader of a nation fighting for its life in Russia's genocidal war is treachery and dishonesty that tarnishes the United States,” said Hychiy.

She emphasized that the claims about Ukraine's supposed unpreparedness for war are “absolute lies.” “It is Russia that does not want peace. It is Russia that started the war,” noted the President of the Congress of Ukrainians in Canada.

Hychiy urged Americans to “clearly explain to their administration that the American people stand with justice and truth, which Trump and Vance have abandoned.”

As previously reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the United States on February 28.

During a joint press conference between Trump and Zelensky, a dispute arose, after which the President of Ukraine left the White House early.
