As reported by Ukrinform, this was shared on Facebook by the Ukrainian consulate in Porto.
3It is noted that the guests impressed those present not only with their renditions of Ukrainian carols but also by sharing traditions of Christmas celebrations in Ukraine.
4“The vibrant national costumes, rich sounds of the carols, and warm words created an atmosphere of unity and understanding that touched everyone present,” the diplomatic mission shared.
5As a sign of support and deep gratitude, Ukrainian Consul Alina Ponomarenko presented an ornament decorated with Petrykivka painting for the main Christmas tree of Porto.
6The mayor, in turn, expressed hope that after Ukraine's victory, these meetings would be even more joyous and bright.
7This musical event also featured the participation of Porto's Deputy Mayor Filipe Araújo, the advisor on health and quality of life, youth and sports, personnel issues, legal services, and civil protection, Catarina Araújo, the advisor on urban planning, public space, and housing policy, Pedro Baganha, the advisor on education and social cohesion, Fernando Paulo, and advisor Sérgio Aires.
8“This event was a vivid example of how culture and support can bring nations together even in the most challenging times. Together, we can create new opportunities for cultural exchange and strengthen bilateral ties!” emphasized the embassy.
We remind you that the Ukrainian consulate in Porto became part of the celebration of Ukrainian Christmas in Matosinhos, organized by the Association of Ukrainians in Portugal and the educational and cultural center "Vinok" along with the folk ensemble "Shum."
