Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported this on Telegram, as conveyed by Ukrinform.
"Around $1.1 billion from the IMF has already arrived in Ukraine. These funds will be directed towards covering essential non-military budget expenditures," the head of government emphasized.
According to him, this tranche was received by Ukraine due to the successful fifth review of the $15.6 billion EFF program.
"We are grateful to the Fund for its consistent support of Ukraine. We are already starting joint work on the next program review," Shmyhal added.
As previously reported, on October 18, the International Monetary Fund decided to allocate another tranche of $1.1 billion to Ukraine under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program.
