Due to flu and ARVI, schools in Vinnytsia have extended remote learning.

In schools across Vinnytsia, remote learning has been extended until February 26 due to the ongoing situation with flu and ARVI illnesses.
В винницких школах из-за гриппа и ОРВИ продлили дистанционное обучение.

The director of the education department of the Vinnytsia City Council, Oksana Yatsenko, informed a correspondent from Ukrinform about this.

“From Monday to Wednesday, February 24-26, all students in the Vinnytsia City Territorial Community will continue their studies in an online format. We are extending this measure to minimize health risks for children amid rising cases of influenza and ARVI,” Yatsenko stated.

According to her, this decision affects not only general educational institutions but also extracurricular and artistic educational establishments of all ownership forms.

Continuing education in an online format will help reduce the risk of virus transmission among students and staff of educational institutions.

As previously reported, in Vinnytsia, schools transitioned to online learning starting Monday, February 17, to prevent the spread of influenza and ARVI. In the region, students from 210 educational institutions out of 1200 available were learning remotely.

The epidemic threshold in Vinnytsia Oblast exceeded by 17% based on the results of the seventh week of 2025.
