In his last post, Viktor writes about fallen soldiers and urges us to ask ourselves, 'What have you done for Ukraine's victory?'" Markarova's post states.

The photographs depicting the struggle of Ukrainians for freedom since 2014 can be viewed at the Ukrainian House until October 31.
As reported by Ukrinform, Viktor Hurnyak, a native of Ternopil region, Ukrainian photojournalist, fighter of the 24th Territorial Defense Battalion 'Aidar,' and scout, was killed on October 19, 2014, while evacuating the wounded under mortar fire near the 32nd checkpoint close to the village of Smila in Luhansk region.
The "Golden Star" Order was awarded posthumously to the soldier's parents, Petro and Maria Hurnyaks, by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Viktor Hurnyak was posthumously awarded the Order "For Courage" of the III degree, the Plast Iron Cross, the Plast Bronze Cross for his heroic act, and the title "People's Hero of Ukraine." He is an honorary citizen of Ternopil, where a "Volunteers' Square in Memory of Viktor Hurnyak" has been established in the city center, along with a memorial plaque. A memorial plaque was also installed in Lviv, where Viktor Hurnyak is buried at the Field of Honor in Lychakiv Cemetery.
