The event took place outside the building located at Beethoven Street, 3 in the Polish capital, where Russian diplomats still reside, as reported by Ukrinform, citing the organizer of the event - the public initiative "Euromaidan-Warsaw."
Polish and Ukrainian activists unfolded a large banner in front of the building where the Russians live, displaying the message "Russia is a terrorist country" in English. The participants held flags of Ukraine, Poland, and the Crimean Tatar people.
“We need to constantly remind Russians of their crimes. This must be done every day - as long as it takes for every Russian criminal to be punished. There are no quiet and peaceful mornings in Ukrainian cities and villages. So why do representatives of a terrorist country have such luxury here in Warsaw? They should have been expelled long ago, and I really don't understand why Poland, which has recognized Russia as a terrorist state, still tolerates its representatives on its territory,” said activist from the "Euromaidan-Warsaw" initiative and participant of the event, Mykola Petryha.
Another Polish activist, one of the leaders of the "Committee for the Defense of Democracy," Jacek Wiśniewski, also emphasized that this way, they want to urge the government to expel all Russian diplomats from Poland and close the Russian embassy.
“We do not understand what representatives of this criminal regime are still doing in Poland,” Wiśniewski stressed.
It is noteworthy that in Warsaw, activists have been waking up Russian diplomats in this manner for the third consecutive year, and this action has seen significant success. As noted by Euromaidan, this year, Russian diplomats even prepared for it by playing the anthem of the Russian Federation from the windows of their high-rise building. However, sirens and gunfire sounds were still much louder.
The morning action is one of several that will take place throughout the day in Warsaw. In the evening, a mass demonstration of gratitude to Ukrainians is planned, organized by Polish non-governmental organizations.
