“As part of the ‘GÜRZ-44’ operation against the terrorist organization ISIS, which has been ongoing for the past week in 21 provinces, 164 suspected members of this terrorist organization have been detained,” the minister stated.

As a result of the operation, the involvement of the detainees in ISIS activities within Turkey has been established, including their provision of financial support to ISIS. Unlicensed pistols and rifles, along with a significant amount of digital materials, were confiscated.
As reported by Ukrinform, as a result of airstrikes by American and Iraqi forces in Iraq, five militants of the ISIS terrorist group were eliminated.
