As reported by Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Embassy in Estonia shared this on its Facebook page.
It is noted that many guests, including members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Tallinn and representatives from Estonian ministries, heard the story of "Shchedryk" for the first time. The story was performed encores by artists Yelena Brazhnyuk, Oksana Loginova, Sofia Yavorskaya, Maria-Sofia Dyka, and Dmitry Cherepov.
"For many of them, it became a powerful identifier of Ukraine and undeniable evidence of the belonging of Ukrainian culture to the European and world cultural heritage," the diplomatic mission reported.
During the concert, carols performed by Olena Brazhnyk created a true festive atmosphere.
"Although the carols were sung in Ukrainian, their meaning and emotional depth were understandable to everyone present. These songs conveyed the profound spirit of Christmas, its warmth, unity, and hope, which are universal to all nations," the embassy shared.
At the conclusion of the concert program, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Estonia, Maxim Kononenko, expressed gratitude and presented certificates to those who collaborated with the embassy throughout 2024 and assisted in advancing Ukrainian issues in Estonia through cultural diplomacy.
It is worth noting that the Association of Ukrainian Organizations in Estonia (AUOE) held an event titled "Holy Evening Before Christmas" in Tallinn – an evening filled with warmth, coziness, and the genuine magic of Ukrainian traditions.
