In Switzerland, the Ukrainian community showcased its cultural traditions.

Members of the Ukrainian community in the canton of Solothurn, along with the dance group "Tanok," showcased vibrant Ukrainian traditions to the Swiss audience. The stage came alive with the melodious folk songs performed by the "Malva" ensemble and spirited dances.

Representatives of the Ukrainian community in the canton of Solothurn and the dance group "Tanok" showcased vibrant Ukrainian traditions to the Swiss audience—lively Ukrainian songs from the folk ensemble "Malva" and energetic dances filled the stage.

As reported by Ukrinform, this was announced on Facebook by the Embassy of Ukraine in Switzerland.

It is noted that both adults and children honed their skills for three months to demonstrate that even in difficult times for Ukraine and far from home, the Ukrainian spirit remains unyielding.

Ambassador Iryna Venedyktova introduced the audience to the traditions of celebrating Christmas and New Year, especially during the full-scale Russian aggression, and emphasized the importance of preserving our identity.

“Christmas traditions are deeply rooted in the lives of our ancestors and carry sacred and religious significance,” the diplomatic mission shared.

The Embassy of Ukraine expressed gratitude to Ukrainian citizens for promoting cultural diplomacy and to their Swiss friends for supporting Ukraine.

We remind you that a festive event took place in Geneva, during which Andriyivski Vechornytsi were held, and the fifth anniversary of the "Ukrainian Women in Switzerland" association was celebrated.
