In the villages of occupied Kherson, the invaders are seizing land from individuals without Russian citizenship.

In the villages of the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson, the occupiers are seizing land from individuals who have not obtained Russian citizenship.
В селах на временно оккупированных территориях Херсонщины оккупанты отбирают землю у людей без российского гражданства.

The resistance movement "Yellow Ribbon" reports, citing activists from the movement, as conveyed by Ukrinform.

"In the villages of the occupied part of the Kherson region, the occupying administration is seizing land from people who have not received Russian citizenship," the message states.

It is noted that the occupiers are pressuring the local population regarding the urgent need to formalize their land in the occupying authorities; otherwise, it will be taken for "communal ownership." To prove land ownership, a person is forced to provide the occupiers with a Russian passport and a Russian insurance number (SNILS).

"This issue is handled by a 'land surveyor,' who stated that without a Russian passport and SNILS, which must be presented in person at their occupying authorities, the plots will not be considered yours. Many people have left, who do not live here and cannot protect their land when it is given to someone else. There are many newcomers in Henichesk: Russians, Adyghes, Ossetians," says a movement activist.

Additionally, the movement reports that the occupying authorities are alarmed – despite fines and threats, Ukrainians in the temporarily occupied territories refuse to change their Ukrainian vehicle registration plates to Russian ones.

In this regard, the Russian government has issued a new decree that mandates the change of vehicle registration plates to Russian ones by the end of 2025. The occupiers refer to this process as "customs clearance."

As reported by Ukrinform, in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson, the occupying authorities continue to force people to obtain Russian documents. Starting February 5, the so-called register of controlled persons will come into effect, into which the enemy will enroll local residents without a Russian passport. They will be forced to either leave their native land or obtain a residence permit. Additionally, residents who have not received a Russian passport will be prohibited from using banks, registering real estate, operating vehicles, and getting married.

Locals report that at checkpoints, Russian military personnel threaten to confiscate vehicles for the so-called special military operation if they are not registered under Russian law.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the right-bank part of the Kherson region, including the city of Kherson, in the fall of 2022. The part of the region located on the left bank of the Dnipro River is temporarily occupied by Russian troops.
