Eighteen Russian drones were shot down over the skies of Sumy region.

According to a report from the Sumy Regional Military Administration on Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.

“Today, January 4, our anti-aircraft gunners downed 18 enemy drones of the ‘Shahed’ type in the skies over Sumy region,” the statement reads.

It is noted that since the beginning of 2025, the region's air defense units have already destroyed 35 Russian drones.

As reported, during the night and early morning, the invaders fired three times at the border areas in Sumy region, with 8 explosions recorded.
