In the temporarily occupied Crimea, Russian invaders detained a man who publicly expressed support for Ukraine.

This was reported on Facebook by the Representative Office of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, as conveyed by Ukrinform.

“A 59-year-old resident of the village of Turgenevka, Asan Buberdzhi, publicly expressed support for Ukraine and called for violent actions against the occupiers. The security forces of the occupation administration detained him. The man is currently in a pre-trial detention cell awaiting an unlawful 'trial',” the post states.

The office also noted that this week, the occupiers detained a resident of Sevastopol, Oksana Senedzhuk, on fabricated charges of allegedly passing information about the locations and movements of the occupying forces to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Additionally, a resident of Simferopol, Dmytro Morozov, was detained for shouting “Glory to Ukraine” in a city bar.

They also reported an incident involving a figure in the so-called “case of Crimean Muslims,” political prisoner Muslim Aliyev, who, while performing prayer, did not interrupt it to greet the head of the colony who entered his cell, for which he was placed in a punishment cell for 15 days.

“The occupation administration systematically persecutes the residents of Crimea for supporting Ukraine, expressing Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar identity, as well as for any criticism of Russian occupation and military aggression,” emphasized the office.

As reported, Russian occupiers have banned St. Nicholas, carols, and nativity scenes in the temporarily occupied territories.
