The incident took place on the morning of Monday, October 21, on Vadym Hetman Street in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv.
According to preliminary information, a "Gazelle" van collided at high speed with a minibus "Ataman," which was carrying passengers.
Investigators from the traffic accident investigation unit, patrol police, and medical personnel arrived at the scene.
Law enforcement officials are continuing to work at the site and are determining all the circumstances surrounding the accident.
Later, the Kyiv City State Administration reported on Telegram that a traffic accident occurred at a public transport stop, resulting from a collision between a truck and a minibus (from a non-communal fleet), injuring nine people, seven of whom were hospitalized.
Rescuers freed a woman who was trapped in the passenger seat of the minibus and the truck driver.
"Due to the accident on Vadym Hetman Street, traffic is complicated in the direction of the Industrial Overpass," the patrol police of Kyiv noted on Telegram.
Authorities are asking the public to take this information into account when planning travel routes.
As previously reported, in Sumy, law enforcement is investigating the circumstances of an accident involving a minibus, which resulted in eight people sustaining injuries.
