According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the National Energy Company "Ukrenergo" on Facebook.
"As a result of missile and drone strikes on generation facilities and damage to the transmission system networks by the enemy – emergency shutdowns were implemented this morning in Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk (partially), Cherkasy (partially), and Kyiv (partially) regions," the statement reads.
It is also reported that as of 8:30 AM on February 3, electricity consumption exceeded the figures of the previous working day – Friday, January 31, by 3.3%. Ukrenergo cites the drop in air temperature across most regions as the cause.
"Today, from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, there is a need for very careful electricity consumption. Please, if possible – avoid using high-power electrical appliances during this period," warns the energy system operator.

Additionally, emergency shutdowns were announced by Sumyoblenergo, Poltavaoblenergo, Kirovohradoblenergo.
As previously reported, on February 1, Ukrenergo implemented emergency power outages in several regions due to a massive Russian attack.
